There was no game tonight

Let's just pretend this one didn't happen, and never speak of it again.

I'm all for the idea of giving The Barber starts in consecutive games... but did AM have to do it for the first time on back-to-back NIGHT? --ziggy

I figure if you want to write a story about Saturday's UCLA game, I would just write, "Ditto on Saturday."

I thought about that, but even that would have been too much.

I'd rather not think about it. But the way the Angels operate, I'd kind of be surprised if they did it. Their biggest signings under Arte have been surprises (Vlad, Colon, Cabrera), and the guys that everyone though they were after have gone elsewhere (Beltran).

Konerko is the head-fake to lower the asking price on Manny and force the Red Sox's hand.
