Two things that keep me from celebrating

1) A majority of people in my home state decided that simply being bigots wasn't enough.  They decided to write it into the state constitution.  Fuck the initiative process, and fuck the LDS "church".

2) My brother's current home state took the title of 'laughing-stock' away from Florida by electing a convicted felon to the Senate.

And I'm also pretty disappointed that pieces of shit like Norm Coleman and Gordon Smith won.

No, I'm more about pettiness and vindictiveness.

Ah, but it gets better...

Mathematically, some of the people who voted Yes on 8 HAD to have voted No on 4. So: It's NOT immoral to get knocked up and get an abortion without parental consent, but it IS immoral to love someone of the same sex. Yes, these people live among us...

Fortunately they just live among you. Not that Illinois is probably any better.

And Merkley won, so things are at least a little brighter overall.

I saw a piece in the Times on Friday about how a Catholic charity had run out of food on Thanksgiving (they made up 600 meals but had 900 people show up). I almost thought about giving them money/time/whatever, but then I remembered, oh yeah, Prop. 8.

You conveniently left out "fuck the blacks," "fuck the latinos (-as)," et. al. Or would that make you a racist?

Fascist is as fascist does, eh Brute?
