This was not what I expected hear playing on the store P.A. when I walked into Kohl's today to buy some socks:
It's not even from the forthcoming record. It's a from an 11 year old album that about 13 or 14 people in this country have ever heard. Still, it was pretty freaking awesome, and it really put me in the mood to buy socks. Well done, Kohl's.

I heard Arcade Fire's "Keep the Car Running" in Home Depot a few weeks back. Keep in mind this was in Phoenix, a long ways from Montreal.
I just about died of shock. I think the younglings in the store had killed off all the managers and switched their XM radio to Lucy or Fred or something. Weird.
We once heard a Sundays song on the store radio at a grocery store in Alamosa, Colorado, and it wasn't even "Here's Where the Story Ends". It's a pretty weird sensation.
This was stranger, though, because I literally don't know anyone, other than myself, who likes the Super Furry Animals (though get decent crowds in this town). And I can't think of one person I know who could have named that song.
Pretty cool, though.
